After 22 years in the United States Navy, I decided it was time to pursue something completely different. Throughout most of my career, I was fortunate to live and work in beautiful coastal locations, spending countless days enjoying the sun, sand, and ocean.

One thing I always struggled with was finding swimwear that felt just right. If the top fit perfectly, the bottom didn't. If I loved the style, I wasn't a fan of the fabric. It seemed impossible to find a swimsuit that combined the fit, comfort, and design I was looking for.

So, I decided to learn how to make my own.

What started as a personal passion quickly grew into IslaNirvana. Today, every swimwear piece is carefully handmade by me in the beautiful state of Florida. My goal is to create high-quality, customizable swimwear that allows every woman to express her unique style while feeling confident and comfortable.
